DEISIG DESIGN is an industrial design studio based in Berlin.

In 1971 Wolfgang Deisig founded his own design studio. From 1976 on the Studio was based in the Castle of Natzungen/NRW before it moved to Berlin in 1988, with it’s location directly at the Hackescher Markt in the heart of Berlin.

 

Wolfgang Deisig has been working together with Nils Koehn since 2001.

We don’t see ourselves as product stylists. We try to get to the root of a problem.

Designing an office chair does not mean finding a new and fancy shape; it means studying what happens when people spend their working day sitting on a chair. How can a chair support the natural shape and motion of the human body?

Based on deep ergonomic research and changing ways of working, new and innovative concepts have been developed and have received major international Design Awards.

The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art computer technology with 2D, 3D and “rapid prototyping” capabilities using the CREO, Alias and Studio Paint software packages. This allows for sketching, photo realistic renderings as well as all kinds of construction work for engineering and 1:1 modeling.
